Hey I’m
Amanda!
As a UX designer, I enjoy blending structure with empathy—using both intuition and logic to design experiences that truly connect with people. My path here wasn’t linear: I started in accounting as a CPA, CMA, and also spent years as a fine art painter and instructor. Wild combo? Maybe. But it trained me to simplify complexity, stay endlessly curious, and collaborate with people who think completely differently than I do.
Before UX, I spent a lot of time translating chaos into clarity — whether it was untangling financial reports or exploring abstract ideas on canvas. That same mindset fuels how I approach design: digging deep into murky problems, asking the right questions, and building solutions that actually make life better.
PLOT TWIST
Last year, I turned my life into the ultimate user experience test: 8 moves, 2 kids under 3, and 5 countries in 12 months. From Calgary to Kailua to Sydney to Bali, I learned that good design—whether it's a diaper bag or a digital interface—works anywhere, adapts to constraints, and makes the impossible feel effortless.
